In Season Basketball Fundamental Training "The good players never stop trying to get better"
What we will cover:
Working on your shooting
We will work on catch and shoot techniques, shooting off the dribble, coming off picks, and other shooting techniques that will help develop a players ability to score in game situations.
Work on your ball handling:
Ball handling skills can make a huge difference to a players ability to be successful on the court. We will use a number of drills such as the two Ball drills, speed dribbling, basketball coordination drills, and other to improve a players ball handling skills.
Post up moves:
All players need to be able to post up and score around the basket. We will teach and refine basic post up moves and teach additional moves like the step back and other moves to help players score around the basket.
Psychology of the game Many players who have skill have a problem using those skills in a game situation due to a lack of confidence or understanding of the game. We will teach players using visualization, goal setting and other psychological techniques to help them become better basketball players on the court.
Teach them how to have fun:
Many time teams and coaches are working so hard to win, they forget that young players are attracted to the game because basketball is a fun game to play. Young players need the tools and skills to be successful on their teams. Though we work hard, we make it fun for them to learn basketball skills.
